Founded in 1983 by second-generation entrepreneur Mr. Ajay Chawla, with guidance from his father, the Late Sh. Amrit Lal Chawla, Special Spring India Pvt. Ltd. began as a modest operation focused on springs for the ballpoint pen and automotive industries. Through Mr. Chawla’s unwavering leadership, the company grew from a team of three to over 200 skilled employees, consistently adapting to evolving market demands.
A pivotal moment came in 2007 with the inclusion of Mr. Arun Batra, a qualified professional and technocrat. His contributions, combined with Mr. Chawla’s leadership, were instrumental in professionalizing the company and elevating its capabilities. We strategically incorporated advanced technology, transitioning from mechanical manufacturing to a digitized, CNC-driven enterprise. This enabled us to adopt a process- and quality-oriented mindset, expanding our range of CNC and supporting machinery.
Today, Special Spring India Pvt. Ltd. operates a pioneering manufacturing facility equipped with over 60 CNC machines. We excel in producing a diverse catalog of metal springs and providing custom-tailored solutions to meet the precise demands of clients across various engineering and manufacturing sectors.

We Support Our Customers through our in House design department and Subscription of IST (Institute of spring technology) design software which helps us in supporting Our Customers through all stages of Product Life- Cycle i.e from Concept to design & development of their Components as We know from Our Experience that no Two Product Designs are Same.
Tool Room Technology
Our fully equipped tool room with dedicated technical staff together with our design section Provides customers with rapid turnaround service for new product design requirements. We have developed in house gauge & Dies thus developing indigenous tools acting as import substitute thereby ensuring that SSIPL maintains expensive tools throughout the production life cycle.
Measuring & Testing Machines
Special spring Uses the State of the Art Technology & Machines to ensure consistently high Product Quality. For example Special Springs has some state of the art testing machines such as Endurance testing Machine, Computerized tensile strength tester, Spring Torque testing Machine, Vision Measurement Machine and Profile projector etc. These springs are duly tested for their fatigue life by these testing Machines thus providing the desired Quality Product to our Customers.
